Aico Ei Professional EI2110E Fire Multi-Sensor Mains 10Yr, Lithium Back-up Easi-fit Base Alarm

Smoke alarms have different sensors to detect different fire types, so it is important to choose the right alarms to protect against all fire types.

With the revolutionary new Multi-Sensor Ei2110e Fire Alarm, you can be assured that it will sense all fire types giving you a total fire response.

The new Multi-Sensor is built on the same high quality, reliable and proven technology that all Aico Alarms are renowned for, but contains the latest high-tech enhancements making it the most effective domestic Fire Alarm on the market.

  • provides a total fire response
  • is simple to specify
  • provides intelligent fire detection
  • has an increased resistance to false alarms
  • is easier to install
  • is compatible with RadioLINK+ technology for simple expansion of systems
  • is capable of alarm data extraction using AudioLINK or wholesystem data extraction with RadioLINK+
  • has a clean, modern design
  • is future-proof
  • and is fully compatible with existing Aico systems

 Total Fire Response

The new Multi-Sensor Ei2110e contains two sensor types, optical and heat. Between them they are capable of detecting all fire types.

  • Optical Sensor - The cylindrically shaped optical chamber has a bonded protective mesh that encapsulates the whole sensor to keep out potential contaminates such as dust and insects whilst still allowing the free flow of smoke.
  • Heat Sensor - The Ei2110e contains a new thermistor giving a faster alarm response when monitoring temperature rise and when the trigger temperature is reached.

Intelligent Detection

The dual sensors constantly monitor smoke and heat levels, sending and receiving information via the Multi-Sensor's intelligent software.

If a fire is detected, the Multi-Sensor will use the sensor information to alter sensitivity and trigger points automatically to provide the earliest response.

As this intelligent detection gives the best response to all fire types and reduces false alarms, the Ei2110e Multi-Sensor can be sited anywhere in a home that requires a smoke alarm – making it easier to specify.

Dust Compensation

The new Multi-Sensor Ei2110e has a unique self-monitoring Dust Compensation mechanism incorporated into its software, which will allow the alarm to tolerate up to twice as much more dust contamination than a conventional optical alarm.

The optical sensor chamber continually self- monitors minute changes in dust levels. If the dust accumulates to a certain level, the alarm automatically recalibrates the alarm trigger point. It then continues to self-monitor and if dust continues to accumulate, it again recalibrates the alarm trigger point. The sensor has multiple stages of recalibration allowing it to recalibrate throughout the alarms life. Additionally, if the alarm is cleaned with a vacuum or compressed air line, eliminating the dust, the alarm automatically resets the calibration point.

This Dust Compensation mechanism ensures best performance and best value.

  • Reduces false alarms
  • Reduces maintenance costs
  • Reduced number of unit replacements
  • Makes them ideal for alarms difficult to access for maintenance

Data Extraction

The Ei2110e Multi-Sensor alarm contains AudioLINK technology, which allows you to extract real time data from the Alarm using its sounder directly to a smartphone or tablet via an App. The AudioLINK enabled Ei2110e Multi-Sensor alarms can be used:

  • As part of the property checks prior to change of tenants
  • To generate real time information if a tenant reports an issue with the alarms
  • To keep a physical record of the alarm's history
  • As an asset management tool

 Modern Design

The Ei2110e Multi-Sensor has a clean, sleek, slimline modern design making it less obtrusive into the room, whilst maintaining the same easi-fit footprint as other Aico easi-fit alarms – so is simple to upgrade from these with no re-decorating costs.

The design lends itself to suiting the most modern properties and complements the latest Aico accessories such as the RadioLINK Alarm Controller, RadioLINK Fire/CO Alarm Interface and RadioLINK Carbon Monoxide Alarms.

Easy Installation

Our easi-fit base has been proven to give quick, reliable installation. With the Ei2110e, we've made it even better.

More screw holes have been added to the base to save on installation times when upgrading or replacing existing systems. The holes line up with previous easi-fit and RadioLINK alarm bases, so no need to drill extra holes.

And the holes have been adapted, so N°8 Screws can now be used.

Bigger terminals have been created to accommodate 1.5mm² cable more easily, making it more straightforward to wire.

We've retained the trunking pull-out, which allows trunking to be added quickly and neatly.

The RadioLINK+ Module

The Ei2110e Multi-Sensor can now interconnect wirelessly with other RadioLINK and RadioLINK+ alarms and accessories via a plug in module. The Ei100MRF just slots into the alarm and is automatically activated ready to be House Coded with the rest of the system. Compared to previous Aico alarms, that used a RadioLINK base, it saves on installation time and associated costs.

House Coding

To enable each RadioLINK and RadioLINK+ alarm to interconnect wirelessly as a system they must be House Coded together. When each alarm is in House Code mode it will learn the unique serial numbers of the other alarms in House Code mode at that time to establish a secure connection.

With the introduction of the RadioLINK+ module, the House Coding slot has now been moved onto the actual alarm making it easy to access and use. All the alarms can be House Coded in situ when installed. This is significant as it allows the installer to check the Radio Frequency signal (used for wireless interconnection) strength at the exact location the alarms will be when protecting the occupants and dwelling.

Remote House Coding

RadioLINK+ has made it easier to expand existing systems. Previously, if you wanted to add another RadioLINK alarm or accessories into an existing RadioLINK system, each alarm would have to be manually put into House Code mode. With RadioLINK+ only one alarm in the existing system needs putting into Remote House Code mode along with the new alarm/accessory that needs adding.

As well as enabling wireless interconnection, RadioLINK's capabilities have grown making it simpler to control, test and asset manage alarm systems even when access to the property is not possible.

Monitoring

RadioLINK+ has an enhanced self-monitoring function that recognises system tampering or alarm head removal.

Each alarm in the system will search for the alarm with the strongest Radio Frequency signal to it and pair up with it. At regular intervals, these two alarms will communicate with each other. If someone has removed Alarm 1 from its base, Alarm 2 will not get a response
and log it into its memory and change its indicator light. It will also send an 'Alarm Removed' signal that can be used to trigger a warning to a third party device, e.g. a warden call or panel system, if connected to a module such as the Ei414 Fire/CO alarm interface.

Even if Alarm 1 is replaced, there will still be a log of this event.

Data Set Up

At installation details of the system can be collected, such as number of units, types of alarms, location of alarms, Radio Frequency signal strength between alarms, serial numbers of the device and how long the alarm has been in operation.

Data Extraction

Once the system has been set up, information can be accessed securely from within or outside a property if access is an issue. Event logs can be retrieved as many times as necessary and for each alarm on the system, retrieving data such as how many direct button tests have been performed and when, any issues with the battery and/or mains supply, Carbon Monoxide (CO) levels detected if a CO alarm is on the system, Radio Frequency signal strength between alarms, age of alarms and any alarm removed.

All the alarm data can be extracted securely and saved to a central location to be stored.

Data extraction can take place again and again, building up a history of alarms systems in individual dwellings.

Future Proofing

The Ei2110e Multi-Sensor alarms are fully compatible with all other Aico alarms and accessories whether a system needs upgrading or an existing system needs expanding; and works with either hard-wired, RadioLINK or hybrid interconnecting systems

Expanding an existing hard-wire interconnect alarm system to RadioLINK+ is simple. By replacing just one alarm in the hard-wire system to a RadioLINK+ alarm, you can add other RadioLINK alarms and accessories, making it ever more flexible.
